ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

Anxiety and depression affects so many people in the U.S. the rates of anti-anxiety and anti-depressant drugs has risen by almost 100% in the last 10 years.

It is tough to see patients who deal with either of one of these at a chronic level. And I know most of it starts with some form of emotional trauma, which requires intensive therapy to heal the heart and mind. I want to discuss the genetic aspect of anxiety and depression. The reason being that emotions and stress create a trigger, but why do the SIGNALS perpetuate?

Specific genes are responsible for the bodies ability to handle these stress signals. Knowing your specific genetic coding is crucial in my opinion. It can give you peace of mind knowing that when you have a panic attack or depressive mood, there is a true reason behind it. It’s not just made up in your head.

We will discuss a few of the genes that are key in understanding the mental game.

Let’s get after these ghosts!
