One way of creating a strong heart wall is the PRACTICE of awareness. When dealing with the heart wall, awareness relates to the idea that the heart can pick up on the stress or emotional impact of others. A healthy heart wall can see the difference between your own thoughts and others. The wall can become AWARE.

Remember a heart wall does not mean you are closed off, but that you have a check point to your heart, a guard at the door. We should all strive for compassion, it is a BEAUTIFUL thing(Henry nowan). However, empathy is different, you feel what others are feeling and that can make your physical health decline if you are not aware of those feelings settling in your heart.

If those messages from others are not beneficial to you, then having a wall of awareness is not only healthy but protective. A wall of awareness is not a tall stone on stone structure, it is a wall of windows that allows us to see things for what they are-yours or mine.

How do you become more aware? By observing yourself.

Try enneagram, Myers Briggs, or personality test of your choice. The more aware you are of yourself and your character traits, you will know what kind of problems you can deal with. Those problems can be your own or from others.
