In the brain, the pineal-pituitary-Hypothalamus glands/axis (P-P-N) is designed to receive information, process it, and tell the body to release chemicals in response to the information.

If we live in a high stress environment, we TUNE our brain into receiving more stressful thoughts than happy thoughts.

There is always stressful information out there, we just need to TUNE OUT from it.

Stress can eventually fatigue the P-P-N axis in the brain, which cuts off our connection to the MIND and GOD/DIVINE. But psychology has found that gratitude and happiness grow the actual size of the axis glands.

A healthier, larger axis allows more information to be received and given to higher sources.

According to research, even in the most stressful environments, one way to train yourself into gratitude is to smile. No joke.

The facial nerve connects the brain to the muscles of your face. There are about 30,000 to 40,000 branches of this nerve running throughout your face.

When you smile, it lights up the pleasure centers and the gratitude area of the brain. The more you smile, the more gratitude and happiness abounds.

It’s no trick, it is training your brain to attract frequencies of positive thoughts and emotions. As you grin, your cells release the chemicals to stimulate joy and gratitude. You are creating biochemical changes that can be long lasting if you keep smiling.

In the hardest times, even when you don’t feel like it…smile. It doesn’t have to be about anything, it will lead you to where you need to go.
