Several, if not all, of my patients have suffered some form of whiplash, concussion or knock-out.

When this occurs, actual physical damage can occur to the brain tissue. I have seen brain scans where certain parts of the brain do not carry much nerve signal due to severe head of neck injury.
The brain can suffer from:

  • Decreased blood flow – injured arteries and veins
  • Nerve damage – nerves get compressed and inflamed
  • Internal cranial pressure⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To build back the tissue I commonly suggest essential fatty acids (EFA’s) and Phosphatidylcholine.
Choline is naturally found in meats, eggs, dairy, fish, peanuts, soy, and animal organs.
It is a constituent of lecithin, which most commonly is referred to as soy lecithin. It is a nutrient that is used in brain health and increased nerve signals.
It makes up:

  • Neurotransmitters (nerve transmission chemicals)
  • Nerve cell walls (phospholipids)
  • Lipid transport (carries out old cholesterol)
  • Methyl Donor (MTHFR Support)

Phosphatidylcholine is a good source of choline if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the foods mentioned.
Giving your brain the actual parts to help build back brain tissue is something I encourage if you have ever had: concussions, head injuries, family history of mental conditions, blackouts, chronic infections, and strokes.
